First Port to Earn New Government Standard
AV Dawson’s Port of Middlesbrough is the first port in Great Britain to achieve the government’s Earned Recognition status. Earned recognition was introduced in 2018 as a new scheme to recognise transport operators who can demonstrate a strong track record of compliance and adherence to standards.
AV Dawson unveils new head office on Port of Middlesbrough
The new office will be built in the exact location of the original Port of Middlesbrough. During the excavation the sandstone foundations that supported one of the first quays have been discovered.  Some of these foundations, which date back to 1838, will be preserved and displayed at the new offices.
Tunnel Segments Imported To Support Mine Construction
Local freight logistics specialists have been called in to import 1km of tunnel segments for Anglo American’s Woodsmith Project on the North Yorkshire Moors. The team at AV Dawson’s Port of Middlesbrough worked with global logistics experts FH Bertling on this complex logistics challenge.
