The connected port

As well as providing a safe and secure base for operations, Port of Middlesbrough is one of the best-connected ports in North East England. With easy access to the main northern arterial routes and the only ports in the North East with heavy and wide access, it remains one of the most accessible and convenient facilities. The port also benefits from direct access to the East Coast Mainline with rail lines running to the quayside. Teesside International Airport is only 15 minutes from the port, with Newcastle International and Leeds airports accessible in under an hour.
