Health & Safety Conversations

Health and Safety Conversations allow all colleagues to report any incidents or observations they may see or think of, in order to keep employees safe around site. 

It is required that all AV Dawson colleagues – regardless of the role – is expected to submit at least 2 observations a month. 

This allows everyone to play their part in keeping everyone safe and raises any concerns the HSEQ may not know about. 

 

Watch Your Step

The ‘Watch Your Step’ campaign was an internal campaign which was rolled out in August 2022. 

The aim of the campaign was to raise awareness about the impacts of slips, trips and falls to help reduce the number of incidents across our site. 

Our HSEQ team conducted a number of safety briefings and ‘toolbox talks’ with colleagues in high operational areas.

Toolbox talks

We regularly host ‘toolbox talks’ as a way to inform and educate departments on the health and safety risks. 

These discussions are a great way to present the implications of a risk and how to mitigate them, improve peoples safety awareness, colleagues can proactively assess risks and implement effective control measures.
