…. we are looking for a Buyer to join our company. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in a busy department and be a key point of contact, both, providing a responsive and customer focused service.
The key aspects of the role include:
Adding value and profitability in accordance with the Company’s business and financial targets through improved procurement and buying activities across all business areas. To ensure the control of purchasing goods, material and services minimizing commercial Health Safety and Quality exposure to the business utilizing best practice processes and aligning to and demonstrating company values at all times.
Responsibilities will include:
- Placing orders with suppliers and expediting as required.
- Review and maintain records, registers, spreadsheets and lists.
- Manage My Compliance, ensuring approved contractor commercial details are up to date, working alongside HSE and Quality departments.
- Request, input new supplier/amend existing supplier details on Concur and chase through completion in SAGE.
- Analyse and compare supplier quotes negotiating cost reduction as appropriate.
- Review internal purchasing processes and suggest improvements to ensure continuity of the departments performance.
- Cover the stores facility as and when required, ensuring stores withdrawals are monitored and distributed. Assist with stock checks as required.
- Scan and collate GRN’s ensuring paperwork is kept up to date and auditable.
